Everyone who joins us at St. Joseph’s is a part of our family, but baptism is a special way to show your commitment and desire to be part of the Christian faith. Through the symbol of water and the power of the Holy Spirit, parents and godparents are making a commitment on behalf of the child to follow Jesus Christ and to respect the dignity of all human beings.
The ceremony is included as part of our Sunday celebration of Holy Communion. Candidates, along with parents and godparents, will participate in short preparation sessions before being baptized.
If you would like to have your child baptized, or if you as an adult are interested in baptism, visit us on Sunday morning, contact us via email or give the rector a call.
